Roofing Association recommends Chemical Roof Cleaning vs. Pressure
cleaning Roofs for the following reasons.
1) Pressure cleaning any type of Roof mold does not kill it, it
will only send it airborne to reattach itself elsewhere, on your
property or your neighbors Clean Roof or elsewhere on their property.
2) High pressure is not recommended on any type of Roof. It can
remove granules, break tiles, may create leaks and will void the
warranty.
3) High pressure can break Roof tiles and remove mortar from the
ridge caps causing roof leaks. Roof repairs can be costly!
